COMMERCIAL

The commercial pilot certificate is what allows you to accept payment for your services as a pilot. This certificate is required for all pilots who wish to pursue flying as a career rather than a hobby.

The Process 

What do you need to obtain this certificate?

Requisites

  • Valid Private Pilot Certificate

  • Minimum* 250 Hours Total Flight Time

  • Minimum* 100 Hours of PIC Time

  • Minimum* 50 Hours of Cross Country Time

  • MInimum* 20 hours of Instruction time 

  • FAA 3rd Class Medical Certificate

  • Pass The FAA Commercial Written Exam 

  • Pass Your Check-ride With an FAA Designated Pilot Examiner

*Hour requirements are the legal minimum. Most students require slightly more time to become proficient in all of the required areas.
