Requirements to Begin CPL Training
To begin your Commercial Rating, you must:
Hold a valid Private Pilot License
(PPL)
Be at least 18 years old
Hold a current 2nd Class
FAA Medical Certificate
Have logged at least 250 total
flight hours
Have logged at least 100 hours
as pilot in command (PIC)
Have logged at least 50 hours of
cross-country
Have logged at least 10 hours
of instrument training
Have logged at least 10 hours in
a complex or TAA aircraft
